Working closely with the Senior Management team for the purpose of providing an accurate cost accounting analysis of the Company’s Commercial Division. This is intended to encompass both the internal manufacturing and supply chain areas, including sub-contractors, with the purpose being to provide accurate costs in the manufacture and installation of commercial products. Using this information, the incumbent will work with key stakeholders to develop a user-friendly costing/quotation system that aids our team in effectively controlling and maintaining the desired margins.
- Undertake a critical analysis of all costs associated with production of goods, including but not limited to material, machinery, and labour costs.
- Partner with the Commercial Operations Manager and Commercial team to gain a full understanding of commercial products and processes
- Partner with Production and Supply Chain teams on analysis of operational costs.
- Communicate simply and articulately and maintain close working relationships with the wider business to improve the understanding of product costs.
- Assist in the development and implementation of a costing system that achieves simplification and consistency in the pricing/quotation process.
- Evolve information systems to best support a costings framework that are efficient to use and improves the understanding of costs across the Commercial team and the wider business.
- Develop and recommend plans to achieve the proposed improvements with minimal disruption to operations, providing documents detailing how to apply the outlined strategies.
Produce training manuals to support new adopted technology and liaise with IT Developers to ensure new systems and procedure are correctly implemented.
- +5 years’ experience within a manufacturing environment in a similar role
- Strong computer skills with a high knowledge of Excel.
- Ability to build effective relationships with key stakeholders and interact at all levels.
