As a Cost Controls Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial success of our gas construction projects. Responsibilities:
- Develop Cash Flows: Create detailed cash flow projections and collaborate with the Accounting department to ensure accurate invoicing and accounting.
- Monitor overhead costs: Provide real time feedback to the PM and Site Manager about non-reimbursable expenses, and budget allocations for CAPEX, consumables and other costs.
- Review Project Cost Coding: Identify any anomalies and flag for review by Project Manager ensuring costs are correctly allocated.
- Claim Preparation: Develop claims to client using information form out ERP, timesheets and equipment Schedules, collate receipts and submit.
- Budget Variance Tracking: Monitor project budgets and cost codes, comparing them against initial estimates.
- Project Status Reporting: Manage the Project Status Report for projects, reviewing reports with the Project Manager and COO.
- Change Order Management: Review and analyse project change orders.
- Contract Modification: Oversee the Contract Modification process within our project management system
- Project Cashflow Analysis: Regularly review project cashflow reports with project teams.
- Cost Control Systems: Assist in developing and maintaining robust Cost Control systems to provide accurate financial information to project and company management.
- Education: Bachelor’s or University Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Science, Finance, Business/Management, Finance/Accounting, Construction, Business/Administration, or Accounting.
- Certifications: Preferred certifications include CCP (Certified Cost Professional) and AACEI (Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering International).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in ERP systems especially Pronto and Synchro.
- Strong understanding of diversified controls engineering systems.
- Excel wizardry.
- Familiarity with procurement processes.
- Experience with Primavera P6.
- Experience:
- Advanced degree or professional registration is a plus.
- Ability to assist the Project Manager in Time & Cost Management of Projects.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6.
- Skilled in monitoring project progress, identifying delays, and managing over-budget situations.
