Job description

GLYDE®, a brand of Aluminium Industries of Australia (Ai), deliver the highest-quality flexible space solutions for the education and commercial sectors and we’re looking for a part-time Project Delivery Coordinator to join us.  

The schedule for this role can be flexible. Work three full days per week or five 5-hour days, so you can do school drop-off and pick-up.

In this role, you will play a crucial part in the organisational management of Victorian projects, from design to reality. Accurate information is captured and double-checked before manufacture begins. Timeline KPIs are adhered to. Issues are uncovered and resolved. Administrative requirements are processed precisely and in a timely way. Customer expectations are met or exceeded.

Reporting to GLYDE’s National Project Coordinator, the Project Delivery Coordinator oversees all elements of project administration and coordination, nurtures existing relationships with key stakeholders and Ai’s internal teams, while providing a positive customer experience. 

You will contribute to the timely and successful delivery of GLYDE projects, with responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Effectively utilise and update the GLYDE Projects IT platforms
  • Pro-actively resolve any customer issues for timely resolution
  • Review project documentation to check for errors or to limit the possibility of misinterpretation
  • Maintain a collaborative and productive relationship with the Project Managers, Ai Internal Operations, and Installation teams to ensure successful Project Delivery, in line with customer expectations
  • Ensure all projects are installed as per specifications, and budgeted allowances 
  • Ensure project documentation is completed to standard and within the timeline KPIs
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of GLYDE products 
  • Be an effective member of the GLYDE team, contributing to our business decisions, product improvements and new product opportunities
  • Take a ‘hands-on’ approach to the role
  • Lead by example and endorse company behaviours and values 

Essential work experience and skills:

  • Diploma in Building & Construction or commensurate professional experience within the construction industry
  • 3+ years’ experience within the construction industry
  • Proven experience in Contracts or Project Management Administration 
  • Understanding and knowledge of construction environments. 
  • Able to read and interpret plans and details.
  • Outstanding communication skills; verbal and written
  • Intermediate capability on MS Office

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing environment
  • On site experience
  • CAD experience
  • Adaptability to new technologies, new resources, and new people
  • Able to ‘bring the fun’ whilst recognizing the need to deliver our plan
  • Ambitious, energetic, tenacious
