About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Program Delivery Office Manager (PDOM) to join our Maritime Sustainment Program based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard.
Reporting to the Head of Platform Installer, the PDOM will be responsible for the effective implementation of Project Management capability to enable successful delivery across the PI Program. The PDOM shall ensure the development, accessibility, and maintenance of process, assets and tools to support the Project Management team.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing Project Management leadership, capability, and a one team culture across the Program
- Driving integration across the program, including across CAM & SCAM areas, contract scopes (e.g. Batch contracts, ILS, CCPs etc), and time zones, identifying key issues and areas of risk to the overall outcome of the contract.
- Driving continuous improvement through all processes, systems, and tools, delivering improved efficiency, and value.
- Delivering on governance, reporting, and integrated baseline obligations for the program, being accountable for overall program PMB performance management.
- CAM & SCAM accountability for Program Delivery Office, it's resourcing, scope, and PMB performance.
- A key representative for the Program with the customer, partners and subcontractors, internal BAE Assessors, and internal and external auditors on Program performance and assurance related activities.
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management or relevant discipline (desirable)
- Extensive experience in a Program Delivery Office, including demonstrated experience managing a team within a Maritime environment
- Excellent management and leadership skills across a multi-site environment, including the ability to lead, develop and motivate multi-disciplinary teams to deliver program and project management services requiring high-quality results within defined timeframes
- Ability to identify strategic and operational improvements and lead change management to address these opportunities through the positive involvement of others
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, written and interpersonal skills, including an ability to build rapport with key stakeholders, employees at all levels and with external parties
- Current defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
