An excellent full-time employment opportunity exists for a dynamic, experienced and enthusiastic Project Engineer to join our growing team working on our next big project, Western Sydney Metro (SSTOM)!
Based on-site, the role will be responsible for supporting the project delivery team in the successful delivery of the works.
Main duties and responsibilities
- Provide technical solutions associated with project construction
- Prepare various detailed project reports, safety documents and quality documents, including the compilation of site documentation
- Management and monitoring of project delivery (including Rhomberg employees and sub-contractors) to ensure it is delivered to scope and budget.
- Development of strong relationships with key clients, suppliers, sub-contractors, and project partners
- Ensure adherence to all codes of practice, standards, regulatory legislation and Occupational Health and Safety requirements relating to the rail industry
- Provide technical advice and engineering support to build the technical capability of the team
- Provide leadership to site, graduate and/or undergraduate engineers.
- Use of project costing software (Pronto) to assist with financial and process documentation requirements for the project
About you
- Relevant Bachelor degree qualification (preferably Civil Engineering)
- Minimum 3 years project experience
- Previous rail or civil industry experience (highly regarded)
- General awareness of OH&S legislation, including Construction Industry Induction Card
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and initiative
- A high level of computer literacy - use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, MS Projects, and other project management software
- Excellent communication and report writing skills
- Team player willing to get involved across the business.
- Driver’s licence
