The Role:
This role will be overseeing up to 4 projects simultaneously. This role works in a current team of 4 other Project Engineers reporting to the Projects Manager. You will be working with a global environmental organisation who take great pride in their world class services and are experts in their field with over 40 years’ experience in water, waste and energy management.
As the Project Engineeryou will be responsible but not limited to:
- Plan and execute the full project lifecycle. Manage up to 4 projects simultaneously with estimated values from 10k – 500k.
- Assist with business development and tender submission including scoping, project planning, design, estimating and procurement.
- Deliver assigned projects within budget and to agreed schedule, including safe completion of all phases.
- Identify, manage updates and issue controlled versions of all documentation that needs to be modified as a result of projects (such as drawings, manuals and operational procedures).
- Liaise with the personnel from operations and maintenance, procurement and asset management teams to ensure successful initiation and implementation of a project.
- Manage subcontractors and consultants for delivery of project outcomes (including site supervision of subcontractors and technical oversight of engineering consultants).
- Choose your work environment from multiple locations across Brisbane – Pinkenba, Ipswich or Bundamba.
- Flexibility – work from home a couple of days of week
- Monday to Friday role – no weekend work required!
To be considered for this position, applicants MUST have:
- Tertiary qualifications in engineering and/or project management.
- Extensive project delivery experience withing water, mining or manufacturing industry.
- Ability to assist in financial costing, budget development, monitoring and asset management.
- Thorough analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills to develop innovative solutions to complex issues;
- Knowledge and experience of Google suite of programs (Google Docs and Google Sheets)
