Due to continued growth they are currently seeking an experienced Project Engineer to be part of a small but growing team with exciting pipelines of work.

Role and Responsibilities
As Project Engineer you will support Senior Project Engineers in delivering a range of projects related to critical fluid systems (high pressure air and oxygen, fire suppression, water, waste, fuel, etc.) primarily in the Defence industry. You will also:
- Draft in 2D and 3D using AutoCAD, Inventor and Solidworks
- Produce engineering drawings
- Write technical reports
- Apply your critical thinking to engineering tasks such as design and technical investigation
- Perform engineering calculations and analysis
- Produce and update technical documentation
- Conduct technical investigations, functional testing etc.
- Conduct design tasks in adherence with company’s quality management system
- Conduct technical project management under supervision of project managers
- Liaise with suppliers and customers
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in mechanical engineering or mechatronics or equivalent Degree must be recognised in Australia
- 3+ years of experience
- Able to use MS Word, MS Excel and MS Outlook
- Able to use AutoCAD for 2D drafting
- Able to use Inventor and Solidworks for 2D & 3D drafting
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and develop as an engineer
- Good communication and writing skills
Preferable if:
- Familiar with producing engineering drawings to AS 1100 standard
- Familiar with reading and interpreting design standards (AS, ISO, etc.)
- Familiar with general electrical systems and/or electrical control systems
- Based in Sydney’s Northern Beaches
- Multiple agency / industry / training opportunities within Defence projects
