POSITION PURPOSE
Optimus Fleet Bi are seeking a Project Engineer who will perform a variety of core responsibilities and lead various projects on behalf of our client at their Geraldton and Port Gregory mine sites. The role is based on a 4 day on, 3 day off roster with additional days on when required during project executions. Given the roster you will fly into Geraldton, either staying in sunny Geraldton or by the beach in Kalbarri and flying out back home for the weekend.
Core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Project planning: initiate the planning process, clearly defining the project's scope, goals, and objectives.
- Team coordination: Liaise with contractors and key personnel onsite to achieve the project outcome.
- Risk management: Identify potential risks early, analyse their possible impact, and develop mitigation strategies.
- Budget oversight: Estimate costs, establish budgets, track spending, and adjust as necessary to keep projects within financial boundaries while achieving fiscal efficiency.
- Client communication: Maintain open and transparent communication with clients, stakeholders and contractors. Including providing updates, responding to inquiries, and using feedback to adapt project scopes to meet or exceed the client’s expectations.
- Maintaining quality standards: Implement quality control processes to ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon standards and satisfy the client’s requirements.
