Summary:
The Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, executing, and documenting standard infrastructure, network, and cloud-based projects for our esteemed clients. Collaborating closely with the Sales & Projects team, this role is essential for ensuring the successful delivery of IT projects within specified budgets and timelines, ultimately aiming to surpass client expectations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with the pre-sales and projects team to grasp project scope and desired outcomes.
- Assist Senior Project Engineers or Project Leads in executing assigned project tasks as per the project plan and scope.
- Identify and address any tasks or issues that deviate from the original scope, or could impact client expectations, project budget, or deliverables.
- Maintain effective communication with Account Executives and Project teams to ensure timely updates, changes, and issue resolutions are communicated to clients.
- Provide technical expertise and assistance during project implementation, troubleshooting any encountered issues.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
- Ensure accuracy and currency of project documentation, including project plans, technical specifications, and user manuals.
- Record time entries, tasks, notes, and pertinent information in our CRM / Ticketing system.
- Coordinate with third-party vendors and suppliers to address project-related tasks.
- Collaborate with Senior Project Engineers to escalate and resolve intricate technical issues.
- Conduct maintenance audits and assessments on client infrastructure to identify gaps and suggest enhancements.
- Provide updates and support to the HelpDesk team regarding project-induced changes to clients' environments and support procedures.
- Uphold professionalism and confidentiality in handling client information and Comwire IT deliveries.
- Stay proactive in learning and maintaining accreditation in key business platforms and systems.
- Assist in various internal projects aimed at enhancing service delivery, internal systems, processes, and efficiencies.
Qualifications:
- Experience in Networking, Servers, Microsoft 365 Migrations, Backup and Disaster Recovery, Security, VMware/Hyper-V, and VoIP technologies.
- Familiarity with configuration and deployment of Networking equipment.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 suite and its associated migrations.
- Knowledge of Backup and Disaster Recovery solutions.
- Experience in implementing security measures such as Multifactor Authentication and VPN setups.
- Proficiency in VMware/Hyper-V design and implementation.
- Previous exposure to VoIP technologies, particularly 3CX and Broadsoft migrations, is highly desirable.
