About the Role
An opportunity has become available for a Project Engineer located on site in South Adelaide for Downer’s Industrial Energy business unit. The Project Engineer is a member of the Projects team and is responsible for the provision of professional engineering services, including integrating with and supporting the estimating function, the construction operations and management as required for the delivery of projects within the agreed scope, timeframe, budget, quality, and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will see themselves being involved in tasks such as:
- Review and analyse RFI/Work Order receipts to assist in breaking down the scope of work into work pack/test pack components
- Aid the Downer Project Engineering team in generating Technical Queries and Walkdown Packs
- Review Work Pack SOWs to identify:
- Material Take Offs (SMP)
- ITP requirements
- Verification of ITR application
- Test Pack requirements and limits (SMP)
- Completing subsystem turnover packs including ISO/P&ID red lines, punch lists, NoP/NoE’s and MC Certificates.
- Ensuring all assigned work scopes meet expected Quality Standards and Specifications
About You
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering preferred
- A minimum of 3 years relevant experience
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and changes in priorities
- Demonstrated experience and competency in the design, implementation and evaluation of systems to ensure compliance with project policies and technical procedures
- Results oriented including the ability to meet deadlines and changes in priorities, in order to achieve required service levels
- Professional integrity with respect to matters such as confidentiality
- High level of interpersonal skills with experience in negotiation, organisation, problem solving and customer service
