Form of work Water Planning Engineer
Ongoing full-time opportunity, 35 Hour working week!
Location: Parramatta.
While we work flexibly, there will be an expectation that you will live within a reasonable distance to frequent a Public Works’ office min. 2 days per week.
Salary from $101,947.00 plus super and leave loading (package up to $112,849.00)

About the role
As a Water Planning Engineer, you will be part of the Planning Team within the Water Resources Management (WRM) Group of NSW Public Works (NSW PW) based at Parramatta. You will contribute to the Strategic Planning of water and wastewater business for Local Councils in Regional NSW.
To be successful in this role you will have the following:
Degree in chemical, civil or environmental engineering with minimum five years’ experience and eligibility for membership status of a Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia.
A good understanding of the Infrastructure Planning process with demonstrated involvement in the preparation of water and sewer Business Plans.
Knowledge and understanding of the regulatory requirements for water supply and sewerage schemes, including effluent reuse.
Understanding of water demand and sewer load analysis and the ability to undertake these analyses.
Good knowledge of water and sewage treatment processes with the ability to assess options to address capacity and performance issues.
Be able to work independently with minimal supervision, and collaboratively with other members of the team.
A valid NSW Driver’s license and willingness to drive to locations in Regional NSW which may include overnight stays.
