The role & you 

The Project Engineer role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of water and sewer infrastructure projects within the council's Capital Works Program. It will involve assisting the delivery of a range of small and large projects through the project planning, detail design, implementation and finalisation phases. 

As an essential requirement, you will hold tertiary qualifications in either:

  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Process/Chemical Engineering
  • Civil Engineering
  • Construction Project Management
  • A similar field related to engineering, construction, or project management.

To succeed in this role, you will be technically proficient in water and sewer infrastructure projects, possess strong project management skills and have effective communication and interpersonal abilities. Your strengths in liaising and collaborating with key stakeholders will ensure there is effective alignment with project goals and community needs.

Salary: Salary range circa $88,000 p.a. - $97,000 p.a. plus superannuation. 

Location: This position will be based at our Administration Centre in Yalawanyi Ganya at 2 Biripi Way, Taree. You may also be required to be based from other Council sites across the MidCoast Council region.

Tenure: Permanent, Full Time.
