About Us: Frontline Fabrications is a rapidly expanding Steel Fabrication company specializing in the design, drafting, fabrication, and installation of Structural Steel. We are dedicated to delivering high-quality projects and are currently seeking a local and reliable individual to join our project team.
Role and Responsibilities: As a Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the project team from project inception to completion. Key responsibilities include:
- Producing steel Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and estimating costs for tender submissions.
- Creating project documents at the start-up phase (ITPs, SWMS, QMS, schedules).
- Procuring materials and conducting cost value analysis.
- Managing teams of trades in the workshop.
- Assisting the drafting team in the Request for Information (RFI) process.
- Occasional production of shop fabrication drawings using Advance Steel.
Experience Required:
- 1-3 years of experience in the construction industry preferably with steel structures experience.
- Civil engineering degree with a specialization in Structures or Project Management.
- Familiarity with cost estimating and production of BOQs/take-offs.
- Competency in CAD; ability to produce Structural Steel shop drawings is desirable but not necessary.
- Familiarity with project documentation (SWMS, ITPs, QMS).
