Due to an upcoming large infrastructure project, we are seeking a dynamic and motivated Project Engineer on a contract basis to assist in completing the project on time and within budget.

About this role
As the Project Engineer, you will play a key role in overseeing a significant infrastructure project. Your primary responsibility will involve leading and supporting project managers to ensure successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget constraints.
Duties

• Oversee and manage project activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and coordination of subcontractors.
• Provide technical expertise and support to the project team, particularly in quality-related matters.
• Collaborate with the projects team on planning, procurement, and implementation of project strategies.
• Monitor and control project progress and costs, actively participating in decision-making for significant changes.
• Develop and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), inspection checklists, witness/hold points, and ATPs.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including site registers, EOT, RFI, and variations.
• Conduct site-specific SWMS to ensure a safe working environment.
• Track and report project progress to stakeholders
• Foster positive relationships with clients, on-site crew, and subcontractors

Skills & Experience

• Proven success as a Project Engineer in the construction industry.
• Familiarity with RMS specifications (RMS Experience considered an advantage).
• Strong understanding and promotion of HSEQ imperatives and procedures.
• Exceptional planning, organizing, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and MS Project applications.
• Positive attitude, self-motivated, and a collaborative team player.
