The Role
We are seeking talented and experienced Project Engineers to work on projects in the areas of Water-Wastewater, Drainage, Waterways and Wetlands, and Utilities.
Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering and project management within the government sector.
This role involves the development and delivery lifecycle of infrastructure projects, preferably on the client side, though contractor-side experience will also be considered.
You will play a key role in ensuring the successful execution of projects by providing technical expertise, managing resources, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Design:
- Develop detailed project plans and conduct engineering analysis and feasibility studies.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and technical specifications.
- Oversee the execution of engineering tasks, ensuring alignment with plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, budget, and quality, coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams and stakeholders.
- Identify and resolve engineering issues, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.
- Implement and oversee quality control processes, conducting site visits and inspections.
- Address any non-conformities or quality issues promptly.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify and address potential hazards.
- Promote a culture of safety awareness and adherence to protocols among project team members.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, government authorities, and utilities.
- Facilitate regular project meetings and updates to keep stakeholders informed.
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical and progress reports.
- Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders on project status and milestones.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in engineering and project management within the Water-Wastewater, Drainage, Waterways and Wetlands, and Utilities sectors.
- Experience in government sector projects, preferably on the client side.
- Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the water and utilities sectors.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results within scope, time, and budget.
- Strong knowledge of engineering principles, project management methodologies, and tools.
- Proficiency in engineering software and tools.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
