As an experienced Project Engineer you will be working alongside a Project Manager on a number of projects which vary in value and duration. You will be supported to ensure the efficient delivery of these projects; safely, on time, on budget and exceeding our client expectations.
Our engineers are hands on and work on unique and interesting projects for our clients. The are embedded in our projects and work with some of the most experienced supervisors, Project Managers and Site Leaders in our industry.
This is a site based role, working site hours Monday to Friday.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Program and Scope:
Develop monthly accruals, forecasts, costing and progress reports for Project Manager review
Prepare and assist Project Manager with monthly project reports as required
Track and prepare project change orders as required for Project Manager review
Ensure all project scope changes are effectively communicated to the Project Manager for their review and approval
Actively participate in project progress meetings with the client, preparing and distributing meeting minutes
Finance and Procurement:
Apply effective cost management throughout the project including coordinating and approving invoices (per Delegation of Authority), allocating and monitoring cost coding, and liaising with the Site Engineer to record daily activities
Prepare RFQs (Request for Quotation) and coordinate engineering review with, where required
Raise POs (Purchase Orders) and nominate appropriate stakeholder to approve per Delegation of Authority
Ensure AQM’s procurement policies and procedures are followed.
Safety, Quality and Environment:
Develop, maintain and complete construction work packs
Develop project SWMS with construction team
Develop project CMS
Develop and maintain ITPs
Uphold the Aqua Metro safety standards at all times
Design:
Register, track and close out RFIs
Review IFCs as required
Completions:
Assist in the preparation and delivery of commissioning plans as required
Assist in gathering as-constructed information throughout the construction phase (as-built drawings, completed ITPs and ITRs (Inspection and Test Records), test reports, etc.)
Assist in the delivery and compilation of O&M manuals, training and asset information as required prior to project handover
Ensure defects are promptly rectified
Actively participate in close out reviews and lessons learned meetings
