AddressWaternish Engineering is a modern and progressive mechanical contractor headquartered in SA specialising in the design and construction of water and waste water infrastructure solutions across the country. Due to the scale and diversity of our project portfolio we have new positions within our project delivery team for Project Engineers.
The sustainable growth phase that Waternish is currently going through affords us the opportunity to bring new and eager engineers into our team who want to learn and develop their skills in the water industry and allow us to train them in the way Waternish delivers projects so that they become long-term asset to the business. We currently have projects spread across Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne and Hobart, which will provide you with a wide variety of work with a range of highly respected water authorities.
We are seeking engineering professionals with up to 10 years of experience in the design and/or construction of water infrastructure or associated industries who will develop and apply hands on design and construction skills to assist our delivery teams in delivering a wide variety of projects in both brown and green field sites. The successful candidates will be charged with taking ownership of key project tasks from inception, through the design, construction and finally commissioning stages.
Waternish recognise that the use of artificial intelligence platforms and large language models is becoming a highly useful tool across all sectors. We provide all staff with access to AI tools and training and are especially interested in applicants who want to embrace the opportunities and efficiencies that AI will afford as we look to embed the tools available to us into our workflows.
The key skills, experiences and personality traits you have will include:
- An unwavering commitment to maintaining the safety culture of our business
- A civil, mechanical or chemical engineering degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Prior professional involvement in the design or construction of water related infrastructure
- An ability and drive to own tasks and run problems to the ground
- A strong desire to learn and apply new knowledge in everyday tasks and to develop your career in the water industry.
