The opportunity
We are seeking a talented Financial Analyst/Project Cost Controller to support a world class airborne surveillance, communications and battle management system, the E-7A Wedgetail. The role can be based in Brisbane or at RAAF Base Amberley, but will require travel between both sites as required.
Responsibilities:
* Support the month end process with the required journals and reconciliations, including all required reporting.
* Maintaining project forecasts and assist with preparing variance analysis
* Participate in budget and forecast reviews one on one with cost account managers and other relevant stakeholders
* Investigation of cost drivers and areas for improvement
* Use of project management cost tools
Experience/Qualifications
* Qualification in accounting or equivalent practical experience
* Ability to adapt to different situations and organise priorities autonomously to meet deadlines
* Proactive
* Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with a broad range of stakeholders
* Competent user with great Excel skills and other Microsoft Office applications. Ideally have experience in ERP such as Oracle
