Project Geologist Standardisation
Work Location: Across Pilbara
Roster: 8D/6R FIFO ex Perth
We are currently seeking a Project Geologist specialising in standardisation to work across the Strategic Planning Drilling department and the different operational and project sites. The standardisation includes but is not limited to documents, systems, and improvement projects. The role requires knowledge of different processes and systems, and in particular drilling methodology, geological processes, and data collection. A standardised solution is one that fulfils the requirements of as many of the different stakeholders as possible and can be implemented anywhere across the department.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist the business and the drilling department to implement key changes and maintain a standardised approach to processes and systems
- Document business requirements which are aligned to data governance objectives. The role also requires you to influence, collaborate and build consensus with stakeholders to arrive at decisions
- With a standardisation focus, the role is also responsible for contributing to concepts, business cases, preparation and management of project plans, risks, and issues from project inception through to implementation using industry standard project management methodologies
Qualification and Experience:
- A degree in geology or an equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years industry experience preferably within the drilling, mining/metals, or oil and gas industries
- Experience in different geological roles e.g., mine geology, exploration, resource definition, planning and scheduling
- Project management experience is highly desirable
