Form of workWe seek a passionate Project HSE Advisor to join our client's site-based team. This is your chance to join a Tier 1 EPC working from a mine site in regional NSW. This role will be offered on a 12-month initial contract.
In this role, you will support the project in daily HSE specific activities which will assist in ensuring compliance to the project's HSE Management plan and relevant legislation.
Job tasks and responsibilities include:
- Supervise contractor safety performance and compliance.
- Assist in facilitating project site inductions, OH&S meetings and site OH&S presentations.
- Assist in project incident investigations, risk assessments and critical risk management processes.
- Complete safety audits and inspections of the Project, ensuring compliance with Site, Project, and statutory requirements.
- Post Mobilisation/Periodic Contractor Assessment to Construction HSEMP.
- Monitor and analyse traveller activity in JESI
What we hope you'll bring:
- Experience as an HS Advisor within the construction industry and experience on a mine site desirable along with a strong knowledge of the relevant HSE legislation and standards.
- A recognised Health and Safety qualification.
- Extensive technical, practical and leadership experience in Health and Safety including experience in strategic planning and demonstrable experience in driving industry leadership in HS performance.
- Experience in building strong people relationships, general management practices and experience in managing a team.
