Working as part of a growing, multidisciplinary team, this role will manage design delivery into the construction phase for large, master planned communities, subdivisions and associated infrastructure works as we contribute to the growth of the ACT and embark on exciting projects in both private and public sectors.
Job Description
The Opportunity
An integral part of the construction team, this role will see you take full Project Manager responsibilities through construction phase of project delivery. Some key responsibilities include:
- Undertaking the role of Superintendents Representative or Principals Authorised Person for AS2124, AS4000 & GC21 Contracts
- Being the first point of communication with the client; managing expectations, resolving issues and ensuring successful delivery of outcomes
- Coordinating with a diverse range of stakeholders in the project including authorities, developers, clients and contractors.
- Oversight of all matters relating to budget, resources, project health and project planning
- Oversee the contractors compliance on the construction project, with a strong focus on the review of their quality, environmental and safety systems
- Liaising with internal teams across a multidisciplinary office to resolve client queries and design challenges
This is the ideal role for an experienced Project Engineer, Construction Manager or Design Manager looking to continue growing their skills and experience in a Construction Services focused Project Management role. The selected candidate will have access to senior team members to collaborate with and enjoy a working environment that encourages employee empowerment through problem solving and decision making. You will come to us with:
- Extensive site based experience in construction administration within land development or infrastructure projects
- Exposure to engineering design and solid understanding of the design process
- The ability to communicate effectively with our clients and contractors to achieve great results within a complex project environment
- A keen interest in ongoing professional development; desire to learn new skills and the drive to continue to challenge yourself
- Previous roles as a Superintendent or Principals Authorised Person or Delegate would be preferred
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or Construction Management will be highly regarded
