Seeking a Project Manager for a property developer in Western Sydney
The Company:Our client is a well-respected property developer with ongoing projects across Sydney. They are part of a large multi-faceted group, that employ roughly 260 staff.
Current projects include luxury apartments, a 120-unit apartment block and high-end housing, as well as sub-divisions.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their dynamic team, working closely with the build and design teams. This role could also suit an Assistant Development Manager or Junior Project Manager, looking for their next step up in their career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare cost forecasts, monitor financial status, and provide input for financial reports
- Create and maintain Feasibility studies for current and upcoming projects - Update schedules as needed
- Assist in creating tender packs including collating the contract and relative documents, certificates, and drawings
- Create and maintain construction and development programs
- Manage site walks with external parties as required
- Assist in all aspects of project documentation and communication
- Assist with Request for Proposal (RFP) for upcoming consultants and prepare the qualification assessment and recommendation
- Management of building contractor / nominated sub-contractors and equipment suppliers where required.
- Assist in the assessment of claims, variations, or extensions to contracts and any other contract admin matters
- Day to day administration of contract terms and conditions
- Collate and prepare relevant documentation including project close out documents and completion certificates
- Assist in development of marketing collateral, costs management and pricing up of the works
- Maintain routine register of the design/RFI/Defect/Non-conformance/Instruction to ensure all instructions issued to consultants, builders and any other external parties are completed
- Update the overall program with received EOTs and other items as required
- Take care of your own and others health and safety by:
- Working safely using our STAR method to minimise risks to self and others
- Complying with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policy and procedures
- Reporting any hazards, near misses or incidents through the appropriate channel
- In the event of a work place injury, participate, contribute, and engage in Return-to-Work plans.
Required Experience:
- Ideally around 3-5 years Project Management experience
- Experienced managing project risk, cost and delivery of projects valued at $10m+ (residential / luxury homes)
- Experience in procurement, tendering, project estimating, bid management
