As a dynamic high pressure fluid and gas engineering company, we are involved with the mining, energy, water and Industrial sectors throughout Australia. We design, procure, build, install, commission and troubleshoot hydraulic, process and hydrogen packages. To support our ambitious business plans, we are looking to further strengthen our engineering team with the right people in Perth WA.
We seek a motivated Project Manager to join our existing team and work within a multi-discipline engineering team.
Junior Candidates will be considered for the role.
Main responsibilities- Deliver projects on time, on spec and within budget.
- Manage the execution of hydraulic, process and hydrogen packages from order receipt to delivery using our project management tools such as project schedule, project report, project cost management sheet, project registers (contract variations, technical queries, NCRs, etc.).
- Manage, coordinate, plan and forecast the project resource requirements.
- Manage and assist engineers with performing calculations, components selection, design, generation of project documentation with support from Lead Engineers and Technical Manager.
- Manage and assist engineers in the generation of project documentation, including, drawings, schematics, diagrams, inspection test plans (ITP), quality plans, datasheets, workshop assembly & test procedures, etc.
- Manage the project team and provide assistance to investigate and resolve technical and commercial matters.
- Liaise with clients in a timely manner regarding technical and commercial
issues. - Vendor and sub-contractor identification, selection and management, as required.
- Provide workshop instructions, documentation and assist workshop team during assembly and testing stages.
- Australian work rights.
- Relevant project management experience in engineering.
- Communication, negotiation, time management, risk management, conflict resolution, cost management and organisational skills.
- Proficiency with project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project, Trello, or others, can streamline project planning, tracking, and reporting.
- Ability to read / interpret hydraulic schematics, P&IDs and electrical drawings.
- Bachelor of Engineering – Mechanical or Chemical Engineering preferable.
- Hydraulic / process industry experience.
- Understand all the engineering design and risk analysis steps/meetings (HazOp, HazId, Design Review, FMEA, SID, HFE, DRA, etc.), their purpose, their formats, and the associated documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD LT and Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks.
