Seeking a Project Manager to join our government clients team on a 18-month maximum term contract working on either a Full Time or Part Time basis (minimum requirement of 3 days or 22.8 hours)
Contract: Possibility of extension, pending successful approval of the third phase Work pattern: Negotiable Salary: Full-time annual salary of $112,000 plus superannuation (offer will be pro-rata for part time hours) About the role
Reporting to the Coordinator City Projects, the Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of Underground Power Projects, using effective client-side representation, robust project management skills, and comprehensive customer liaison capabilities, including community consultation.
Key duties of the position include:
Acting as the Clients Representative for the City and facilitating delivery of the Underground Power Projects;
Working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare Project Management Plans encompassing stakeholder analysis, communication plans, peer review meetings and risk assessments;
Collaborating to coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards;
Developing and implementing a comprehensive community consultation plan, ensuring residents and businesses are informed about the project's purpose, timelines, and potential impacts.
About you
You will have a thorough knowledge of civil engineering and public infrastructure principles and practices in addition to previous experience in civil engineering or public infrastructure project delivery. Demonstrated experience as a Client-side Representative is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will also have:
Thorough knowledge of the requirements to prepare and compile construction documentation;
Demonstrated experience in preparing, monitoring, and reporting on project budgets and expenditure;
Experience in community / resident liaison; and
Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
