The Opportunity
The Project Manager is responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of a variety of medium-scale projects with university-wide impact, across the eSolutions and Student Services portfolio (Portfolio). Leading those projects that are Portfolio focused, the position works closely with senior stakeholders to ensure the delivery of projects in accordance with agreed timeframes, allocated budget and strategic business outcomes.
The Project Manager is responsible for all aspects of project management, including providing expert advice and managing major change initiatives to support the delivery of project outcomes where required.
About You!
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for:
Leading and managing projects from conception to final delivery drawing on current project management methodologies
Identifying, sourcing and assigning project resources, including managing procurement tender process and managing contracts with external providers
Exercising strong budget management
Proactively overseeing and managing the preparation of business cases, position papers, briefings and reports for senior management and project stakeholders
Developing and maintaining strong partnerships with key project stakeholders, including, influencing support for the project objective by networking and hosting stakeholder meetings
This position is suited to a person with exceptional project management skills and a proven record of successfully managing organisational-wide projects, with a postgraduate qualification and extensive, relevant experience; or extensive management experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training. The incumbent will also have outstanding relationship management and consulting skills, with advanced computer literacy skills particularly experience with current project management software and related application capabilities.
