About the role
If you want to work in a fast growing region managing a variety of infrastructure projects, this role is for you.
As Project Manager, you will join the Capital Delivery team and partner with key stakeholders to deliver civil projects, including road and stormwater upgrades. You will project manage the procurement and execution phase of projects working with external construction contractors and a dedicated internal construction team.
Some of your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate, project manage, and contract manage individual projects to deliver the annual Capital Works Program
- Provide financial management and reporting at a project level
- Identify and document potential risks to projects and assist with the development of effective mitigation strategies
- Manage internal and external stakeholders’ expectations
- Draft procurement, tender and evaluation plans, including reviewing and evaluating tenders and contracts prior to execution and in so doing perform the role of Superintendent’s Representative
- Manage the execution phase in accordance with executed contract.
- Coordinate a team of project officers and local government employees
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Relevant professional qualification (e.g. degree in civil engineering or project management) and/or extensive civil construction experience
- Current Queensland C class driver’s licence

A pre employment medical will be required for this role (including drug and alcohol testing).

This is a permanent position, Level 6 – 7 with a salary commencing at $100,533 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
