AddressProject Manager with strong leadership and diverse construction experience wanted to join an established design and construct builder of custom prestige homes on the Gold Coast.
Who are we?
Centrally located in Southport, you’d be working for an established builder specialising in the design & construction of custom, prestige homes. You’d be joining a great team with a strong culture of creating smart design solutions and employing up-to-date, best construction methods to deliver beautiful homes in the $2 -$15million range.
Role Responsibilities:
The overarching responsibility of this role is to manage projects through their lifecycle from working on design refinement and “buildability” with the design team, estimation, contracts administration, programe management, client liaison, through to delivering the project. Specifically, this includes:
- Manage project financials including budget, actuals, cost control, variation management, etc.
- Liaise with client including managing client wants and expectations as well as contractual obligations
- Subcontractor management including scope and package negotiation, claim approvals, and subbie performance management.
- Manage trades and subbies onsite including adherence to plans and specifications
- Coordination of all site logistics, materials delivery and resource allocation
- Ensuring site safety and promoting safe work habits
Candidate Profile:
To be successful in this role, you’ll be a self-starter with demonstrated experience in the commercial or residential building industry (or both). You’ll have the following skills & experience:
- Solid construction experience with at least 2-3 years in a PM role
- Strong Financial and Contracts Administration skills & experience
- Quality and safety management experience
- Keen interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships, navigating those tough conversations, and negotiating fair outcomes for all parties
- IT savvy and exposure to a variety of systems that create efficiency
- Demonstrated adaptability, resilience and negotiating skills
- Experience with estimating will be viewed favorably
- Construction Management qualifications preferred
