PROJECT MANAGER - ESTATE IMPROVEMENT

- Remuneration: $130, 350 - $138,314 + 17 % superannuation

UNSW Estate Management (EM) provides a range of services and advice to all Faculties and Divisions on all UNSW campuses. It does this by providing campus planning, infrastructure planning, development, construction, refurbishment, maintenance and environmental management. EM also provides a wide range of logistical and associated services to ensure a safe and secure campus environment.
Why Your Role Matters:
The Project Manager, Estate Improvement, is responsible for the management and coordination of capital construction work projects from project initiation, planning and delivery. Projects range from overall construction and infrastructure to interior fitout works. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work on a broad range of estate Improvement projects. The role provides detailed project reporting and engagement with internal and external stakeholders preparing and capturing project briefs.
Reporting to the Portfolio Delivery Manager, this role will ensure all projects are completed per the approved brief, budget and program and align with UNSW and EM strategic intent.
Who You Are:
Successful candidates must have or demonstrate the following:
- Degree in Building/Project Management or related discipline, including demonstrated experience in managing projects in a complex, diverse operational environment.
- Demonstrated in-depth knowledge and experience in complex and dynamic planning and project management work with strict time/budget constraints, particularly within a multifaceted large corporate or institutional environment.
- Strong expertise in building services and infrastructure related projects
- Demonstrated in-depth experience in contract administration, high-level communication, negotiation, presentation and facilitation skills
- Outstanding organisational skills and demonstrated ability to define and manage competing priorities.
- Effective leadership capabilities in a team environment and a demonstrated capacity to establish and build relationships.
- Knowledge of health and safety responsibilities and commitment to attending relevant health and safety training.
