Our client has a global presence, working with both the public and private sector, focusing on large-scale challenging projects across Civil Infrastructure, Aviation, Resources, Health, Education and Government sectors to name a few. They are currently recruiting for an experienced Cost Manger / Quantity Surveyor / Planner to join their successful and growing team in their Sydney office. Years of experience: 2 – 3+ years Responsibilities include but not limited to: Collaborate and develop good relationships with clients and stakeholders internally and externally Work effectively as part of a cost management team, to ensure that all deliverables are met Cost planning and cost estimating duties Measurement of quantities based on design drawings Pre- and post-contract quantity surveying and construction programming duties Forecasting Construction planning and programming Qualifications and Requirements: A relevant Degree Qualification in Engineer, Quantity Surveying or Construction Management desired Experience working in similar sectors is advantageous Knowledge of construction planning and programming principles, standards and methodology Strong analytical, problem solving skills and high attention to detail and quality of work Team player but also able to work autonomously Proficient in the use of CostX, Primavera P6, MS Project or similar Experience with SAP and/or Echosys is desirable Excellent attention to detail Strong time management skills, quick thinking and resilience to deal with a fast paced environment Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) with excellent report & bid writing skills This is a permanent full-time position providing a great opportunity to work with a successful and growing organisation who offer challenging work and the potential for career progression.
