As our Project Manager, you’ll support the Capability Manager to develop capability requirements for this high-profile program in Air Domain. Working closely with the sponsor and project stakeholders, you’ll ensure the design, acquisition, and sustainment of future air capabilities meet the requirements and priorities of the user.
To succeed in this endeavour, you will:
Support the Project Sponsor, providing direction and outputs consistent with the capability needs.
Consult, communicate, and collaborate broadly across the Commonwealth including across related projects in Defence.
Develop the Capability Management documents as required under the Air and Space Domain’s implementation of the ODCS.
Work with CASG to collaborate on project office documentation and attend governance forums
Assist in the development of ODCS documentation

Our work is highly complex and confidential, so there are some things you must have to fulfil this role:
You must hold a current NV1 security clearance or higher.
*TSPV clearance highly desirable
We’re also looking for:
Relevant experience in Project Management and Capability management within a Defence environment – Air Force and/or Defence Weapons experience is desired.
Experience developing Capability management documents; Joint Capability Needs Statements, Operational Concept Documents, and Functional Performance Specifications.
Experience supporting the development of OCDS documentation; business cases, Cabinet submissions, gate reviews, investment committee submissions, and Capability One.
A natural ability to build trusted relationships with team members, customers, and partners.
Strong project management experience. You’ll not only love planning and managing large programs of work, but you’ll be able to show us how you’ve achieved that in the past.
Strong communication skills, and you’ll also be an analytical thinker who loves solving complex problems.
More than anything, you’ll bring a strong work ethic, a positive attitude and a drive to manage critical projects and programs that build sovereign capability and deliver complex things that matter.
