  • Base Salary starting from $117,116-$132,079 + 17% superannuation (HEO 8)
About the opportunityThis role will assist in the overall management, development, implementation and evaluation of the HIRAIDRegistered Trademark Aged CareClinical Trial. They will oversee the delivery of the intervention and education materials to registered nursing (RN) staff across multiple partnering residential Aged Care homes (RACH) across Sydney.The role will be responsible for the effective implementation of across our partner RACHs by providing on-the-ground operational support, education and training, consulting with stakeholders and identifying and developing solutions to issues that arise. This will involve working closely with the residential Aged Care partners, nursing and medical staff, as well as residents and their caregivers, to complete a range of research activities, such as data collection, participant consent, documentation auditing and the assessment of implementation fidelity.This role will be located principally within the Sydney Infection Diseases Institute at the University of Sydney's Western Sydney Local Health District brand new K-Block Precinct at Westmead Hospital, and at the University's Camperdown Campus from time-to-time. The incumbents will be required to travel to trial sites across Western Sydney Local Health District and other NSW areas.About you
  • hold postgraduate qualifications in a relevant field, such as in nursing, healthcare services and/or Aged Care
  • Current AHPRA Registered Nurse
  • have clinical expertise and leadership skills in healthcare settings, in particular Aged Care, and an ability to work collaboratively therein
  • be able to develop, implement and evaluate specialty education programs for Aged Care nursing staff.
  • implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the initiation, utilisation, and review of evidence-based research.
  • demonstrate highly developed verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills - computer literacy and familiarity with Aged Care clinical programs.
  • understand data collection and knowledge of the clinical and administrative systems including competency in the use of contemporary information systems.
  • have at least 5 years' full time equivalent professional experience in relevant areas.
  • experience in education and training.
  • experience with contributing to strategic and clinical service planning and the management of organisational and cultural change.
