About the role
The Street to Home program supports people who are sleeping rough or experiencing chronic homelessness in the Townsville area to move into stable, long-term housing. The program is based on a case management model to help clients participate within the community, and in education and employment.

Street to Home incorporates a mobile outreach service that will be rostered into the Full-Time hours of the successful candidate. The morning outreach is 7AM - 9AM Monday to Friday and every alternating Saturday 7AM-10.30AM.
In this role, you will provide mobile, outreach and centre based case management support to individuals and families experiencing vulnerabilities in Townsville. You will operate from a strengths based and capacity building framework to ensure the promotion of social inclusion, human rights, participation and consumer choice. You will work with other agencies and organisations in a collaborative approach to source appropriate support for clients. You will also contribute to co-design process and adapt and innovate ways of working in order to improve Red Cross's response to the needs of clients.
What you will bringSound casework/ case management experience including holistic assessment of client needs and development of case plans
Experience in working competently with staff and clients from cultural and linguistically diverse backgrounds with respect and humility
Well-developed interpersonal and written communication skills
Demonstrated effectiveness in contributing to interagency collaboration and ability to lead collaboration, advocate and network with internal and external stakeholders (which can include statutory and law enforcement agencies)
Proven capacity to be adaptive and resilient and to work independently in a self-directed manner, and also as a member of a team

This role is covered by the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Award - Level 4. Salary from $82,063.28 FTE + superannuation + access to salary packaging.
