Project Manager - Commercial

The Company:This dynamic, client focused Tier 3 construction company have a well-established track record of delivering a diverse range of high quality new build and commercial refurbishment projects in Sydney. It is through this results orientated approach that they are seeking an experienced Project Manager to deliver commercial refurbishment projects. The company specialises in high end commercial fit out and refurbishments, creating state-of-the-art contemporary spaces including office environments, high-end retail and dining, industrial and SME businesses fit out projects. The business has recently started taking on new build projects too, so if you have any new build expertise, this would be an added bonus.The Role:As a Project Manager, your job will be to oversee the full delivery of the project. You will have a full site and office team to support you - with a Contract Administrator, Site Manager and reporting to you. You will report to the Project Director and senior management team.To be successful, you will be:

• Ideally proficient with Procore
• Experience with cost management and budget reports
• Effective communicator with stakeholders and subcontractors
• Proficient and effective programmer – for purposes of driving and maintaining critical path activities and key milestones (ideally Microsoft Project).
• Proactive and positive thinker / personality
• Able to motivate, mentor and manage direct reports
• Communicate and collaborate effectively with Project Delivery Team, Subcontractors and Authorities.

Team Culture:

• They are a social team and enjoy team events as a company - they recently did a kayaking and yoga day, and also did training including profiling on different communications styles which was very educational, and the whole business attended including the site staff.
• Every 2nd or 3rd Friday they have Friday lunch in the office, the team has once a month meetings discussing performance on projects etc, and they have quarterly team meetings too.
• They are passionate about training and development of their staff, up-skilling and constantly looking to stand out from their competitors. If you have experience training CA's and improving performance of your team, this role would suit you.
