AddressWe are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Pm and Pm to lead and manage the end-to-end On Prem Data Center Migration program for our client
Role the PM will perform:
- Collaborate with technical subject matter experts to develop and execute a comprehensive project plan for the data centre relocation, encompassing scope, resources, timeline, and budget.
- Demonstrate tenacity and problem-solving skills to meet aggressive project deadlines while maintaining high-quality outcomes.\
- Work closely with Hosting teams and application teams to strategize and execute the data centre migration with minimal impact on operational policing activities.
- Leverage proven experience in managing large-scale data centre migrations involving complex infrastructure.
- Own the full project lifecycle, including establishing detailed project scope, defining engagement milestones, monitoring project execution, assessing risks, driving activities, and measuring success across process, people, and technology delivery methodologies.
- Lead the delivery and implementation of data centre migration project deliverables, including comprehensive documentation for product delivery and acceptance throughout the project lifecycle and ongoing support, meeting project objectives and customer acceptance criteria.
- SELECTION CRITERIA (To be successful in this role, the candidate will have):
- Minimum of 10 years of extensive Infrastructure Project Management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering large-scale data centre migration projects, within government or highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in managing complex data centre migrations involving diverse infrastructure components such as mainframes, midrange compute, storage, networks, and security devices. This includes experience in dependency mapping, planning, and executing phased application migration strategies.
- Proven ability to implement and manage comprehensive risk management, change management, and issue resolution processes in complex IT environments.
- Excellent leadership skills with a track record of effectively managing and motivating cross-functional teams in high-pressure environments.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in managing budgets and resources for large-scale IT projects, including vendor management and contract negotiation skills.
