About You
As the Project Manager, you will be responsible for construction project planning, bid management and overseeing and ensuring a timely and cost-efficient completion of civil infrastructure projects. You will lead the project team, interface with the client and other project stakeholders, along with the financial management of the contract.
You will have:
- Extensive experience in the delivery of civil infrastructure projects.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or Project Management highly preferred
- You must have cost management and delivery experience and clear leadership traits.
- Highly developed strategic and business analysis skills
- Effective leadership, coaching and performance management skills
- Ability to think and react quickly to any difficulties which may arise in the workplace.
Competencies Required for the Role:
- Ability to plan and define project critical path including defining project staging and timing.
- Supervising contract execution to ensure compliance with industry standards and guidelines.
- Supervising & managing the site teams to ensure work scope is being followed with variations to scope being recorded, notified & agreed as per the contract agreement.
- Ability to coordinate all aspects of a projects to achieve project success including, time, cost, quality and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Knowledge of the relevant legislation, standards and codes of practice.
- Expert negotiation skills.
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives including all relevant stakeholders to ensure technical feasibility.
- Meet with clients to clarify the project brief and specific requirements of each project.
- Develop a detailed project plan and program and track changes as required.
- Develop, implement and Manage ITPs
- Demonstrated Leadership skills to manage and supervise wider project team.
- Ability to complete site audits and observations in line with WH&S requirements.
- Current and valid Australian Driver License - minimum C class
