This role will involve managing projects in the civil utilities space working on Ausgrid and Endeavour energy projects. It will involve the installation of new HV and LV networks along with upgrading existing assets.
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in civil utilities to oversee and manage projects from conception to completion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully delivering civil utilities projects on time and within budget. The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects, ensuring that all aspects of the project align with company goals and client expectations.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, schedule, budget, and resources.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to identify potential challenges.
Execution and Monitoring:
- Lead project teams in the execution of civil utilities projects, ensuring adherence to project plans.
- Monitor project progress and performance against established baselines.
- Implement effective communication strategies to keep stakeholders informed.
Resource Management:
- Coordinate with various teams and departments to allocate resources efficiently.
- Manage subcontractors and vendors to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
Budget and Cost Control:
- Develop and manage project budgets, identifying and addressing any budgetary deviations.
- Implement cost control measures to optimize project financial performance.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to meet industry standards and client specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections and reviews to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Stakeholder Communication:
- Establish and maintain positive relationships with clients, regulatory agencies, and other stakeholders.
- Communicate project status, issues, and resolutions effectively to all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in civil utilities projects.
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction techniques, and utilities infrastructure.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to analyze complex problems and develop effective solutions.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
