Duties- Plan and project manage the development and procurement of contracts to deliver maintenance services on the State Road network, ensuring value for money outcomes are achieved in accordance with both industry best practice and Agency and Government guidelines and policies.
- Lead a multi-skilled technical team to build and maintain skills and capability in periodic road maintenance, project management and contract administration, including distributing tasks, mentoring staff and appraising performance.
- Support the Manager Maintenance Services in providing specialist technical advice to key stakeholders, including the Minister for Infrastructure and external stakeholders on periodic maintenance standards and pavement management issues.
- Liaise with clients/contractors to ensure the Agency’s maintenance objectives are achieved and budget and contractor performance targets are met.
- Ensure the Agency’s policies, systems, procedures and methods for the administration of contracts are consistently applied to all contracts administered by the Periodic Maintenance Team.
- Collaborate to ensure the most cost-effective distribution of limited resources within the Branch and on the road network, and develop innovative solutions to complex problems.
The person must continue to satisfy the essential requirement throughout their employment in this role.
- Current Driver’s Licence
- A qualification in civil engineering
