Project Manager - Mechanical

Vector Lifting is a Perth based company, specialising in the design and manufacture of material handling machinery, including cranes, winches and railway lifting equipment.  Since inception in 1989, we have established ourselves as leaders in this field, delivering our products nationally and internationally.

We are currently seeking a hands on Project Manager to oversee and lead delivery of a range of OEM projects. This position will see you exposed to a very wide variety of interesting projects and products. 

This position is:

• Full Time Permanent Position
• Free onsite parking and close to public transport
• Based in our Cockburn office

The key responsibilities for this role include:

• Predominantly involved with the OEM side of our business
• On-going review and alignment of program
• End-to-end project management
• Stakeholder engagement
• Scope reviews and scope management
• Cost management
• Schedule management
• Execution and vendor management
• QA/QC
• Develop work packages for execution including all necessary QA documentation – development of ITPs and associated check sheets
• Participate in client/contractor meetings and resolve any project management issues

• Minimum 5 years+ of experience with Project Management
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings and documentation.
• Understanding of typical commercial contractual terminology and experience in interpreting, negotiating and fulfilling contractual obligations
• Ability to multitask and problem solve
• Good basic electrical knowledge
• Strong IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft Office products 
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent organisation, problem solving and time management skills
• Motivated ‘can-do’ attitude
