About the roleWe currently have a permanent opportunity available for a
Project Support Office Manager.In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading a busy team of
Project Support specialists to enable the delivery of high value and technology portfolios and projects for the Corporation; as well as leading the establishment and ongoing alignment to best practice for project governance frameworks, estimation and scheduling, reporting and other key project controls.A role at Water Corporation can unlock the door to ongoing long-term career development opportunities. Project Support Office team and enhance the project governance and support capability within ITG.· Lead resources responsible for the creation and maintenance of master schedules, cost control and project performance management, ensuring management of the governance of the portfolio of projects delivered by the PPD business unit.· Lead the establishment and ongoing alignment to best practice for project governance frameworks, estimation and scheduling.· Manage, define, develop, and continually improve ITG’s (IT Group) project governance and support services using the appropriate frameworks to ensure the effective delivery and governance of PPD’s portfolio of projects.· Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the PSO to enhance operational effectiveness and efficiency.· Monitor project costs closely and identify opportunities to optimize spending while maintaining project quality and meeting objectives.
Key skills and experience· Degree qualified in Information Technology or Business/Program/Project Management. And;· Substantial experience in managing an IT
Project Support Office or PMO for a government or large, multidisciplinary Corporation.· Certification and experience/understanding in one or more of ISO/IEC 38500, P3O, Prince2, PMBOK, MSP principles and governance frameworks.Or;· Extensive experience in managing an IT
