The Special Projects Unit manages a set of whole-of-government and cross-agency projects, including coordination of Treasury deliverables under the State Commissioning Strategy.The opportunityThis is a rare opportunity to join a growing team working on high-impact projects at various stages, from problem definition through to delivery.The roles allow for motivated individuals to develop strong networks within Treasury and across Government and provide exposure to a wide range of policy matters to fast-track your public sector career.In this team, you will:Principal Project Officer (L7)
- plan, implement and evaluate projects and policy initiatives with cross-agency and/or whole-of-government impact, drawing on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills;
- work collaboratively with stakeholders across Government, including Senior Executives, to negotiate the sharing of information, influence the shaping of deliverables, and respond to emerging risks and issues; and
- mentor and coach others within the team to assist them in achieving their goals.
- work closely with the Principal Project Officer and Assistant Director in the planning, implementation and evaluation of projects and policies initiatives with cross-agency and/or whole-of-government impact, drawing on analytical, creative and interpersonal skills;
- analyse and evaluate proposals/business cases, programs, projects, policies and strategies to develop options and advice on key issues; and
- develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
