We have an exciting opportunity for the right person to join us as Project Manager to lead our Natural Resource Management (NRM) division. As this position in a new role within the company, the successful applicant will have the ability to make it their own whilst driving and improving all aspects of the NRM division.
The role involves:
- Oversee, plan, and organise projects from the initial stages through to completion.
- Manage projects from a financial, time management and resourcing perspective.
- Communicate directly with clients and maintain/strengthen relationships.
- Lead and manage the NRM team whilst uphold company culture and morale. Undertake staff training and development. Hire new staff.
- Carry out monitoring and reporting as per project and client requirements.
- Implement the company safety, quality, and environmental management plans.
- Inform the tender process by attending pre-tender meetings & site inspections, formulate clear methodologies and provide estimated hours & resources required to undertake the work.
- Inspect small plant & equipment and recommend maintenance, replacement, or modifications.
To be a successful applicant, we would like to see the following:
- Minimum Diploma in Conservation and Land Management.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in restoration ecology, bush regeneration, and project management.
- Team leadership and supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of SEQ vegetation and issues related to ecological restoration and management.
- Knowledge of flora species and strong identification skills.
- Knowledge and practical skills related to weed control/management techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret client documentation.
- Well-developed analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Strong time and project management skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite.
