The role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our team and aid in the further expansion of our business and team. The position is based in our head office in Yarrawonga NT, however will require regular site visits around the Northern Territory to our remote projects.
Reporting to the Construction Manager your duties will include, but are not limited to:
Tender Phase
- Assist in tender production and submission
- Formatting, collating and proof-reading tenders prior to submission
- Management of the Tender library
- Production of project files and staff CV's for the Tender purposes
- Initial Tender Pricing
Start-up of Project
- Interpret plans and estimate costs and quantities of materials needed
- Study contract documents and negotiate with sub-contractors
- Develop Project Work Codes
- Organise appropriate documentation for clients
- Organise any permits required
- Provide information to Accounts for Insurances etc
- Order materials that are required specifically those requiring more lead time.
- Set up a project specific Quality Plan including Inspection and Test Plan, Construction Procedure, Environmental Management Plan and Erosion and Sediment Control Plan, Safety Management Plan, Traffic Management Plan
Execution and Management of Projects
- Prepares Monthly Progress Claims for invoicing by Accounts
- Organisation and maintenance of project documentation, including but limited to Quality, WHS, Environmental, material testing
- Day to Day communication with clients
- Compile variations to contract
- Monitor applicable extension of times and initiate request with the client
- Meet with DAC Management on a regular basis to assess any site issues, identify foreseeable project issues, update Works Program, etc.
- Management of Construction Programs, timelines and Deadlines in collaboration with Project Supervisors.
- Liaison with Project Supervisors to ensure projects are facilitated and have the required resources.
- Frequent Site Visits to ensure that all Quality Documentation, Hold and Witness Points are adhered to and that the overall quality of works is up to standards.
Qualifications (desirable):
Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Project / Construction Management
Minimum of three (3) years' experience in Civil Construction and experience supporting Project / Construction Managers in the delivery of development projects.
