The NFH will provide up to 599 points of care, allow almost 17,000 additional patients to be treated each year, as well as almost 20,000 additional emergency department admissions and include a major expansion of mental health care services.We're seeking an innovative and visionary Operations Readiness Project Manager to drive the realisation of the new Footscray Hospital's vision as the People’s Hospital in the west.As the Operations Readiness Project Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operational readiness of our upcoming hospital. Your responsibilities will include leading innovative future state operational planning, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and executing key activation and transition initiatives to ensure a smooth and efficient hospital launch.Key objectives for this role include:
- Leading both clinical and non-clinical teams to facilitate a seamless transition, ensuring the successful realisation of the NFH vision.
- Spearheading the development of future state NFH service delivery plans aligned with industry best practices, ensuring exceptional healthcare service delivery standards.
- Leading the development of operations readiness strategies throughout the project lifecycle, fostering sustainable outcomes for the hospital.
- Crafting comprehensive activation plans covering training, workforce planning, logistical coordination for clinical and non-clinical moves, commissioning, operational acceptance planning and testing, and effective communication strategies.
- Extensive experience within the healthcare sector, spanning health infrastructure projects and/or clinical/non-clinical operations.
- Minimum three years of successful project management expertise.
- Proven track record of thriving in specialised, high-performing project teams within the healthcare domain.
- Highly motivated with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attentive to detail, consistently delivering high standards and prioritising quality.
- Maintains objectivity and positivity during sustained periods of high work pressure.
- Capable of making informed judgments and articulating effective solutions across all levels.

- Develop and oversee comprehensive operations readiness, activation and transition plans, align to project timelines.
- Drive consensus among users and reference groups to foster innovative and forward-looking service delivery plans informing the development of enabling activation plans to support the implementation of future operating models.
- Provide leadership and authoritative guidance to internal and external stakeholders in implementing activation plans. This includes coordinating training, workforce planning, logistical arrangements for both clinical and non-clinical moves, commissioning and operational acceptance testing, and devising effective communication strategies.
- Oversee documentation for the operations readiness, activation, and transition project deliverables identifying dependencies, opportunities, and risks.
- Produce status reports in accordance with the project management office framework, ensuring alignment with project goals and standards. Facilitate oversight by the project's governance structure to enable informed decision-making and effective issue/risk mitigation.
