The RoleThis
Manager Boating Project Delivery will play a key role in the delivery of major boating infrastructure projects across Victoria, including boat ramp upgrades, that are funded through the Better Boating Fund.The position will head a team of Project Officers leading the planning phase for the projects including progressing concept and detailed designs and securing planning permits and other approvals to generate tender-ready proposals for each project. The team will then collaborate with and assist asset managers (for example Councils, Committees of management, water authorities) through the tendering and construction phase of the projects. Through all phases, the
Manager Boating Project Delivery will collaborate with relevant asset managers and other stakeholders to enable efficient and effective delivery of the projects.The
Manager Boating Project Delivery will work closely with colleagues across the Victorian Fisheries Authority (VFA) and with external stakeholders operating within the boating industry including relevant Victorian Government departments and agencies, Local Government, Committees of Management, boating facility users and public interest groups.
The TeamThe VFA is a statutory authority established to facilitate the effective management of Victoria's fisheries resources in a coordinated and strategic way that ensures their ongoing sustainability. The VFA functions to ensure that the Government, the recreational and commercial fishing sectors, and the Victorian community can share in and obtain the benefits from sustainable fisheries management.The VFA has around 190 employees located in the Melbourne CBD, metropolitan Melbourne and across regional Victoria.

- Prepares plans, reports, briefs, presentations and other communications regarding complex matters in clear and concise ways
