We’re currently seeking a Project Manager for a full-time, permanent role. You’ll be responsible for overseeing projects related to supplying equipment to railway operators, maintainers, and manufacturers, ensuring successful delivery within defined scopes, timelines, and budgets. Experience with HVAC systems is a plus.

With over 100 years of experience, our client is a global leader in the manufacture of sub-systems for rail and commercial vehicles. Their state-of-the-art facility housed close to Sydney (Western Suburbs) provides original and aftermarket products to various heavy industries across Australia.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Work with engineering, production, suppliers, and others to ensure products are developed and delivered to customers as expected
- Taking ownership of the development and delivery of engineering projects from ideation through to delivery, handover, and ongoing support
- Deal with any technical queries and product issues including supporting and coordinating responses to Non-Conformances / NCRs
- Interfacing with clients, management, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Management of project finances (forecast/actual reporting, invoicing, tracking payments etc)
- Supporting scheduling activities of production teams to achieve required output
- Developing and managing reporting relating to projects, schedules, budgets, productivity, etc.
- Developing, reviewing, providing feedback and approving a variety of engineering and related documentation
Skills and Requirements
- Engineering degree, diploma, certificate or similar in Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Automotive, Manufacturing, etc.
- Project management experience
- Prior experience with HVAC, refrigeration, electromechanical, pneumatic, or similar parts and equipment would be highly beneficial
- Experience in heavy industries would be highly beneficial (rail, transport, defence, mining, gas, electricity, automotive etc.)
- Good written and spoken English language skills including the ability to interface with stakeholders at all levels and develop detailed engineering documentation
