Job description
As a Project Manager for Secure Facilities Infrastructure, you will be responsible for leading and supervising projects related to the construction, maintenance, and upgrade of Secure Facilities. Your role will involve coordinating projects in alignment with Whole-of-Government (WOG) capital works frameworks and financial management standards.
You will provide expert guidance on the progress and performance of individual projects and engage with various stakeholders to ensure the success of these critical endeavours.
What will your typical day look like?
* Working with a high performing team with a strong commitment to excellence in pursuit of delivering projects on time and within budget.
* Demonstrating an exceptional understanding of complex program management and the ability to manage multiple projects in an agile manner and to a diverse group of stakeholders.
* Establishing and maintaining project governance including high level project status reporting.
* Writing briefs and papers to Senior Management on project related matters
* Problem solving and identifying strategies to reduce impacts.
The group provides advice to internal and external stakeholders to ensure facility design and technology is legal, safe and secure in a correctional environment and is aligned to operational needs. We work in partnership with QBuild, Department of Energy and Public Works to deliver all infrastructure projects and are responsible for managing all aspects of cost, schedule, risks and issues on infrastructure projects.
