As a growing business, we need a passionate site-based Project Manager to help shape the business for the future. 

The person we need 

We have an opportunity for you to be part of the team that will take our business to the next level. You will work closely with the construction manager and contract administrator, to deliver high-end projects that our clients love. 

To succeed, you will ensure you meet the financial margins and achieve client satisfaction on every project.

Roles and responsibilities
You will be responsible for the planning and supervision of a wide range of construction projects from start to finish.  You will organise and oversee construction procedures, and ensure that all projects are completed safely, delivered on time and on budget.

The position is suited to an experienced person who has worked in a similar role for a successful construction company and demonstrates the following key criteria.

• Overseeing all site safety and ensure staff and contractors comply to HSEQ standards
• Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
• Programme formation and implementation
• Assisting with the scope of works formation
• Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
• Determine needed resources (manpower, equipment and materials) from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
• Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
• Hire contractors and allocate responsibilities
• Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
• Coordination of all site logistics, material delivery and resource allocation
• Management of site trades and subcontractors
• Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
• Ensuring adherence to plans and specifications 
• Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports
• Client liaison
• Maintenance of site diary

The successful candidate will have:

• Proven experience as a Project/Construction Site Manager
• In-depth understanding of construction procedures, and material and project management principles
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills along with excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills.
• Strong commercial acumen.
• Ability to prioritise and work to tight, often competing deadlines.
• Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.
• Great people skills and an ability to build relationships and rapport with your colleagues, customers and other stakeholders. 
• Ability to interpret drawing plans and complete quantity take offs for tenders, contract variations and coordination of works on site.
• Capable of reviewing project documentation including drawings, specifications, scope of works, contracts and project related technical
• The ability to foresee roadblocks, troubleshoot and manage issues as they arise. 
• Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards
• Good knowledge of construction/ project management software
