For over a century Nilsen have been operating throughout Australia to deliver installation, maintenance, and manufacturing services from inception to replacement.
Due to an increase in workload, we are seeking an Electrical Lighting Control Project Manager who has experience in working with clients to deliver complex lighting control solutions. The successful candidate will have commercial building experience, be able to design and commission lighting control and energy management systems. The successful candidate will also be able to communicate effectively in all situations as well as meet deadlines and have the ability to work autonomously, take ownership of tasks and ensure that they are completed within a timely manner.
Purpose of this role
- To design, install, configure, and maintain Lighting Control solutions to exceed customer needs.
- To provide on-going technical support and service maintenance for installed solutions as required.
- To continue training to meet the needs of the company as required.
Working Relationships
- Reports to: Operations Manager.
- Peer Relationship: Work closely with all Networks Staff and Nilsen Electrical staff as required.
- Customer Relationships: Build close customer relations with a focus on re-occurring maintenance opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, Program and Commission Lighting Control Systems to meet and exceed customers’ expectations.
- Manage projects to ensure safe and profitable outcomes for Nilsen Networks.
- Provide Integration Solutions for installed systems including Lighting Control.
- Analyse Lighting Control Systems as required.
- Design the architecture and provide advice and support to customers in the implementation and management of the systems associated with technology solutions.
- Liaise with core technical departments on technical product, software and applications issues.
- Test, investigate and analyse Lighting Control products as required and report on system performance.
- Develop an understanding of Nilsen estimating, production control and management systems.
- Provide technical support of project delivery to ensure profitable outcomes in accordance with targets.

Desirable Qualifications / Experience
- A-Grade Electrician.
- Experience related to Lighting Control and Energy Management systems.
- C-Bus, Dynalite, KNX and other lighting control training.
- Experience in managing a project from start to finish with a strong focus on safety and quality.
- Experience in delivering a service model.
