The Role
Reporting to the Coordinator Project Delivery Grants based in Windsor,
the purpose of this position is to be responsible for overseeing and managing
the planning, execution, and successful completion of multiple construction
projects. You will be liaising with contractors, consultants and the general
public to deliver Capital Work and Infrastructure Projects across the
Hawkesbury Community.
About You
You will have experience in the public infrastructure sector and have
excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be capable of
resolving and controlling complex problems and show adaptability and initiative
while demonstrating strong leadership and organisational skills in achieving
critical deadlines and timeframes.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary-studies in a discipline used in development
and implementation phase of public infrastructure
or equivalent e.g. Engineering, Construction, Building Services, Project
Management or similar fields. - Significant
post-qualification experience in construction project management or a similar
role. - Experience in
project management software programs, especially MS Project and strong computer
literacy in various Microsoft Office applications. - Demonstrated ability
to lead and supervise engineering works, day labour, and contractors
effectively. - Ability to prepare
specifications, contracts, and documentation for construction projects. - Strong verbal and
written communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with internal and
external stakeholders. - Thorough
understanding of relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act,
Securities of Payment Act, and other applicable regulations. - Class C
