Project Manager - Wind Farm Development

Our client is seeking a Project Manager to oversee Wind Farm Development projects in Australia.
The successful candidate will lead all aspects of project management, from site identification and feasibility studies to construction and commissioning. This role offers an exciting opportunity to drive the growth of wind energy in Australia while working with a leading global player in the industry.
Responsibilities:

• Lead the development of Wind Farm projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
• Manage all project activities, including site selection, permitting, environmental assessments, and community engagement.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors, and consultants to execute project plans and deliverables.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure successful project outcomes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including landowners, government agencies, and regulatory bodies, to obtain necessary approvals and permits.
• Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor management for project components and services.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to achieve project objectives and financial targets.
• Ensure compliance with relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations throughout project execution.
• Liaise with grid operators and utilities to secure grid connections and optimize project integration.
• Provide regular reports and updates on project status, milestones, and performance metrics to stakeholders and management.
• Foster a culture of teamwork, collaboration, and innovation within the project team.
• Represent our client in industry forums, conferences, and meetings to promote the company's reputation and interests.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and efficiency.
• Support the development and implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) initiatives in line with sustainability goals.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices in Wind Farm Development and construction.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in project management, preferably in Wind Farm Development or renewable energy projects.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, or related field. Project management certification is desirable.
• Strong understanding of Wind Farm Development processes, including site identification, permitting, and construction.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Willingness to travel as required to project sites and meetings.
